12 More Days
… or thereabouts.
August is absolutely my least favorite month of the year. It is so very long and so very hot. I really can’t stand it.
I’m looking very much forward to September and to the temperature finally dropping to a tolerable level. I am excited about pumpkins and hayrides and getting fresh apples from the apple orchards around here.
I’m excited about the leaves changing and making little art projects with my son. I’m excited about my son starting kindergarten and diving into his academic career!!!
I’m looking forward to baking and canning and getting ready for Thanksgiving. I’ll wait until November to start getting excited about Christmas though.
In the meantime, it’s still about 80 degrees out with humidity to match. I think I’ll go do some “spring cleaning” to make my house ready for the home-y projects I want to do this fall.
kindergarten? oh dear! i’m feeling old again.
i’m glad to see you’ve started blogging again. i’d drop by once in a while and check, but was always disappointed. I decided, about 2 weeks after diary-x went down, to just dump the whole thing and start over. though blogspot has its issues, i’ve found it to be a reasonable substitute though it’s not as easy to customize.
