Been To California….

If you’ve only ever lived in California, then how do you recognize California?
I lived 13 years in Iowa, then 13 years in California, then 3-1/2 years in Miami, then 11 (or so) years in Seattle. And I have to say, I know California when I see it.
The beach in Miami looks like a pre-schooler’s sandbox. In California it is beach with surf and mountains, and hills, and a beauty and drama like no other.
Seattle? Please! Mountains it has. Beaches, it does not.
