Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! Those are some nice pictures. It\'s funny that Charlie is wearing the same shirt as he is in the pictures that follow (him at the Fun Forest). People might start to think he only has one shirt! LOL!

Well, as you know, I have been singing the praises of Apple products for a while. So here are my points.
1. That video is over five years old (and it still makes me laugh), and reflects when Apple first released OSX. It had its issues, but nothing compared to the Vista nightmares.
2. Vista is on almost all new computers and it really is a mess.
3. There is a slight learning curve but you are smart and overcoming this is not going to be a problem. And, yes, the mouse that comes with a Mac is a single-click mouse but you can plug any mouse you want in. Mac plays well with your PC hardware.
4. It is different. In two weeks you will appreciate the big differences and will be singing the praises yourself.
5. Make sure an Apple is right for you. There are a few programs that are exclusively PC. If you think using Boot Camp is going be a pain, you should find a used PC with XP.

i'm not wild about macs, but mostly because i'm not used to them or their odd mouses. they have some better features than a pc, like they don't need to be defragged, they don't store files willy nilly and then need to be restarted because they're slower than spit on a frozen sidewalk. the platform is more stable than windows however, and form all i've heard from people who do a lot of graphics work, they beat out pcs. however, that might just be brand bias.

Mac are often easier to use. Erik was showing me how to change a preference on my PC, which was like 8 steps, and then on his Mac it was only two. Also there are a lot of really cool applications that you can not get for PCs. Come over some time and I'll show you my DVD making program, then Erik's. Erik's is way cooler.

that's pretty much how i feel about saskatoon, though for different reasons. i find the slower pace of saskatoon much easier to live with than the cold run-around-don't-see-anything that was calgary. the river valley is gorgeous in fall and lovely the rest of the year. we have art and cultural museums, an opera, several different drama companies, symphony and a two venues large enough to bring in big ticket music like elton john, cher (though she hit everywhere in however many of her farewell tours she did), david bowie just to name a few.

there are problems, like a poor aboriginal community, but they're actively working to regain their culture and their cultural events are always open to all. those are always spectacular and informative events.

A month is when the Democratic National Convention is, and that is when he will announce his choice for running mate. That's what I was referring to!
