Random Thoughts On A Friday Night

Totally random…..

There is roast slow-cooking in a crock pot in the kitchen – and it’s starting to smell really good.

I bought a take-and-bake French baguette so long that it will probably not fit in my oven.  It certainly won’t fit on any pan I own.  I’m not sure what I was thinking except that it looked really good.  I will have to halve it before I bake it.  Then Charlie and I will have it with our roast tomorrow.  :)

Currently Reading:  A Dark Adapted Eye – I’m very early on and not sure if I like it yet or not.  Ruth Rendell (writing under the name Barbara Vine, in this case) tends to dance maddeningly around her point.  I’m hoping I will get used to her writing style, because this is supposed to be a very good story.  We’ll see.

I have ‘Fracture’ from Netflix to watch.  I might do that instead of reading tonight.  I’m not sure I can concentrate on a book just now.

I miss being able to switch templates for my blog on a whim, like I could on Diary-X.  I do love WordPress, but if I switch my template, it gets switched for ALL my entries.  I liked being able to change templates PER entry.  Oh well, maybe that will be an option in the near future.

What else?  Nothing really.  What a boring entry.  I do have things going on in my life, but I guess this is a rare moment of “calm” and I am just enjoying being “quiet” for awhile.

So I think I will.  Good night.  :)
